SAN DIEGO (UCSD) - The UC San Diego men's basketball team out-scored Grand Canyon University by a 36-22 margin in the second half to pull away for a 62-52 victory on Tuesday night in RIMAC Arena. With the win the Tritons improve to 10-6 on the season while dropping the Antelopes to 10-9 overall. Coming out of halftime, both teams would exchange buckets before the Tritons finally tied the score at 39 apiece with 10:07 to go in regulation. From that point on, UCSD would out-score the 'Lopes by a 23-13 margin, forcing many key GCU turnovers late in the contest. Senior Clint Allard had a season-high 21 points on a 9-for-16 performance from the floor to lead all UCSD scorers in the win.
