Padres Swept In Atlanta

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Matt Diaz singled home the game-winning run with one out in the the ninth inning as the Atlanta Braves rallied for a 5-4 victory over the San Diego Padres, completing a three-game sweep. The Braves, who won their sixth straight game overall, trailed by three runs before Greg Norton had a pinch-hit two-run single in the sixth and Yunel Escobar scored on a wild pitch in the seventh, tying the contest at 4-4. Atlanta lost two pitchers early in the game when starter Jo-Jo Reyes left in the top of the third inning due to a blister on his left index finger and reliever Buddy Carlyle was injured in the fifth, leaving with a muscle strain in his neck. Kevin Kouzmanoff had a two-run double to pace San Diego.
