Padres Place Cameron on DL

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The San Diego Padres on Thursday placed pitcher Kevin Cameron the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow sprain. Cameron, 28, had posted a 3.60 ERA in 10 games this season, without factoring in a decision. In a corresponding move, the Padres purchased the contract of lefthander Shawn Estes from Class AAA Portland. Estes had made six starts for Portland, going 4-2 with a 3.67 ERA. He last appeared in the majors on April 5, 2006 before undergoing "Tommy John" surgery later that year.
