Pittsburgh (7-6) at LA Dodgers (5-8), 7:10 pm
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Los Angeles Dodgers can't find a win right now while the Pittsburgh Pirates can't seem to lose. The Dodgers try to get back on track when they continue a three-game series against the Pirates on Tuesday.
Los Angeles has lost six of its last seven games, including a crushing 6-4 loss to the Pirates in the series-opener on Monday. The Dodgers held a 4-3 lead entering the bottom of the ninth inning before Nate McLouth blasted a three-run home run off closer Takashi Saito to lift Pittsburgh to its fourth straight victory. With the homer, McLouth extended his hitting streak to 13 games and has posted a .383 batting average (23-for-60) with 14 RBI this season.
Matt Morris (0-1, 5.25 ERA) tries to keep the Pirates winning streak going when he takes the mound on Tuesday. The 33-year-old righthander allowed 11 hits and seven runs - four earned - in seven innings on Thursday as the Pirates dropped a 7-3 decision to the Chicago Cubs.
Morris will be opposed by Hong-Chih Kuo (0-0, 0.00). He surrendered three hits over 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief during last Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
