Padres On Deck vs. Rockies, Game 2 of 3

Colorado (5-8) at San Diego (8-6), 7:05 pm. 4SD/1090/105.7
SAN DIEGO (Ticker) - The San Diego Padres will look to build off an impressive performance when they host the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday in the second of a three-game series. Randy Wolf and reliever Kevin Cameron combined to pitch a two-hitter Tuesday as the Padres cruised to a 6-0 victory over the Rockies.
It was the first meeting between the teams since the one-game playoff for the National League wild card last October. Colorado won that night in 13 innings en route to a World Series appearance. Wolf held the Rockies scoreless through seven innings and did not allow a hit until Brad Hawpe singled with two outs in the seventh.
The 31-year-old Wolf yielded little else, striking out nine and walking four before leaving to a standing ovation. Cameron followed with two scoreless innings to complete San Diego's third shutout of the season. Troy Tulowitzki was the only runner to advance as far as second base for the Rockies, who have lost three of their last four games.
Colorado will try to figure out righthander Justin Germano (0-0, 0.00 ERA) in this one. Despite not allowing an earned run in two starts this season, Germano is yet to receive a decision. He will be opposed by Mark Redman (1-1, 5.06 ERA), who gave up three runs - two earned - and seven hits with three strikeouts in the Rockies' 12-6 win over the Atlanta Braves on April 9.
