UCSD Moves Into CCA Semi-Finals


SAN DIEGO (UCSD) - After defeating No. 13 Cal State San Bernardino on Tuesday in the opening round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament, the UC San Diego men's basketball team's next challenge comes Friday in a semifinal contest against San Francisco State. Tip-off between the Tritons and Gators is set for 5:30 p.m. at Coussoulis Arena on the campus of tournament host CSUSB.

At 8 p.m. Friday, the other semifinal game between Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal Poly Pomona gets underway. The two winners will play each other in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. All of the games can be listened to live through the Cal State San Bernardino athletics website at csusbathletics.com. UCSD, 16-11 overall, earned its first-ever Division II


Women Travel to San Bernardino for Semis
The UC San Diego women's basketball team heads to Cal State San Bernardino for the CCAA Tournament on Friday, March 7. UCSD takes on Sonoma State at 12:30 p.m. in the first semifinal in Coussoulis Arena. The other semifinal will feature Chico State vs. Cal Poly Pomona at 3:00 p.m. The winners will face each other on Saturday, with a tip-off slated for 5:00 p.m. in San Bernardino.

The games can be listened to live through the Cal State San Bernardino athletics website at csusbathletics.com. The UCSD vs. SSU match-up will feature five, CCAA All-Conference honorees. Osier and Meaghan Noud earned CCAA First-Team honors for the Tritons, while Danae Wellander was selected to the CCAA First-Team for SSU.
