Padres Prevail in China

SAN DIEGO 6, LOS ANGELES 3--------------------

BEIJING (Ticker) -- Scott Hairston delivered a two-run double in the fifth inning and the San Diego Padres never looked back en route to a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wukesong Stadium in Sunday's finale of a two-game exhibition series in China.

Matt Kemp singlehandedly staked the Dodgers to a 3-0 lead with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a two-run single in the third. But the Padres rallied for two runs in the fourth and three more an inning later for a 5-3 advantage.

Hairston highlighted the fifth-inning uprising with his two-base hit. Kevin Kouzmanoff and Craig Stansberry each added an RBI for San Diego. Adrian Gonzalez collected three of the Padres' eight hits, while Drew Macias went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Cesar Ramos started for San Diego and allowed three runs and four hits in four innings. Josh Geer picked up the win by tossing two scoreless frames.

Los Angeles starter Eric Stults yielded two runs and four hits in four innings, walking one and striking out four. Veteran Tanyon Sturtze was saddled with the loss after surrendering three runs - two earned - two hits and a walk while retiring just a pair of batters. Xavier Paul registered two hits for the Dodgers.
