Memphis is Top Seed in Houston

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Memphis, fresh off another dominant run in Conference USA, received the top seed in the Houston Regional of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Tigers (33-1) captured their third straight C-USA tournament title on Saturday, wrapping up their second consecutive undefeated run in league play. Memphis has won its last 42 games in conference play. This is the second top seed in the NCAAs for Memphis, and first since 2006. The Tigers last reached the Final Four in 1985.
