The 56th-ranked San Diego State men's tennis team opened a three-match homestand in style on Thursday with a 7-0 blanking of Cal Poly at Aztec Tennis Center. After gutting out the early doubles point, SDSU (6-5) swept through singles play to secure its third shutout of season, while the Mustangs (7-6) dropped their third straight decision.

Tennis Drops Match

The San Diego State women's tennis team was unable to recover from an early 3-0 deficit, as it dropped a 5-2 decision to 30th-ranked Wake Forest on Thursday afternoon at Aztec Tennis Center. The Demon Deacons (6-5) swept through doubles play before winning four singles contests to claim the match. With the loss, the Scarlet and Black falls to 6-7 on the season.
