Aztecs Beat


SAN DIEGO (SDSU) - Tonight's baseball game against USC, scheduled for a 6:00 p.m.(PST) start at SDSU's Tony Gwynn Stadium, will be broadcast locally on XTRA Sports 1360 radio with the pregame show beginning at 5:45. The game had been added to the original slate of 12 games that will be carried on XTRA during the 2008 season. Chris Ello and Craig Elsten will call the action.

Special Ticket Prices for SDSU/UNLV Game
Aztec women's basketball fans interested in attending the UNLV game this Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Cox Arena can purchase the Mountain West Wednesday Special. For just $7, fans receive a general admission ticket and a hot dog, chips and a soda. The special package is available in advance only at the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium window E no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Softball Players Earn Honors
San Diego State softball players Brittany Knudsen (San Diego, Calif./Escondido HS) and Christina Ross (Santa Clarita, Calif./Univ. of Kansas) have been named the Mountain West Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, Commissioner Craig Thompson announced Tuesday. It is the first career award for Knudsen and the fifth career and second straight honor for Ross.

Fundrasier is A Success
A crowd of nearly 600 San Diego State alumni and fans made their way to Cox Arena on Thursday, Feb. 21, for the first-ever "A Night with the Aztecs" fundraiser. Over $180,000 was raised for SDSU student-athlete scholarships during the festivities, which included appearances by former Aztec football greats, as well as current student-athletes and coaches.
