SoCal NHL Preview

Nashville (20-18-2) at Anaheim (21-17-6), 7:00 pm, FSNPT

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - The Nashville Predators will have to go through the defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks on Monday to extend their winning streak to a season-high four games. The Predators have been boosted by the play of Dan Ellis, who has won his last three starts and posted a 1.00 goals-against average during that span. Ellis, who never has faced Anaheim, is 10-4-0 with a 2.25 GAA in 18 games this season. The Predators enter this contest off a a 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Ducks failed in their bid for a three-game winning streak as they endured a 3-2 shootout loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday. "I can't be disappointed by our work ethic and our effort," Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle said. The teams have split a pair of games this season, each winning at home. But the Ducks have dominated the all-time series at home, posting a 14-1-2 record.
