Tritons Report


SAN DIEGO (UCSD) - The 3rd-ranked UC San Diego women's basketball team survived a valiant upset bid from Western Washington, pulling out a 79-76 double overtime thriller on Saturday night during the final game of the CCAA/GNAC Classic in RIMAC Arena. With the win the Tritons improve to 10-2 on the season while the Vikings drop to 3-9. 15th-ranked Seattle Pacific claimed the tournament crown with its 77-58 victory over Cal Poly Pomona in the first game on Saturday.

The Falcons' Jackie Hollands was named tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament squad by teammates Kelsey Hill and Beth Christensen. Meaghan Noud of UCSD, Vanessa Dominguez of CPP and India Soo of WWU rounded out the honorees.
