SoCal NHL Preview

Anaheim (14-13-4) at Columbus (13-11-5), 4:00 pm
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) - The Anaheim Ducks' offense has not had much success against the Columbus Blue Jackets this season, but Ryan Getzlaf will attempt to change that Monday night. Getzlaf will look to extend his three-game point streak when the Ducks visit the Blue Jackets. The 22-year-old center notched his first shorthanded goal of the season and second career in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators. He has two tallies and three assists in three contests since defenseman Scott Niedermayer announced Wednesday that he would be returning. Getzlaf leads Anaheim with 20 assists and 33 points, while Corey Perry has a team-leading 15 goals this season. However, nobody on the Ducks' offense has had much success against the Blue Jackets this season, no matter who is in goal for them. In its season opener, Columbus blanked Anaheim, 4-0, with Pascal Leclaire making 28 saves on October 5. Rob Niedermayer scored the lone regulation tally for the Ducks on November 1 as they posted a 2-1 shootout victory. The Blue Jackets have been led offensively by Rick Nash, who has 18 goals and 31 points on the campaign.
