SoCal NHL Preview

Los Angeles (13-24-2) at Chicago (19-15-2), 4:00 pm, FSN
CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago Blackhawks will look to extend their season-high winning streak to five games Sunday against the NHL's worst team. The Blackhawks face the Los Angeles Kings, who snapped an eight-game losing streak on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Colorado. Jean-Sebastien Aubin stopped 29 shots for Los Angeles, which has gone nine consecutive games scoring three goals or fewer. Chicago will come into the contest well-rested, having not played since a 5-2 home victory over Nashville on Wednesday, the same day the Blackhawks placed right wing Martin Havlat (groin), center Dave Bolland (broken finger) and left wing Ben Eager (concussion) on injured reserve. The Blackhawks won the first of four meetings this season, 6-3, in Chicago on December 12. The teams also will play on New Year's Day in Los Angeles.
