SoCal NHL Preview

Edmonton (12-14-1) at Los Angeles (10-14-1), 10:30 pm, FSN
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - After beating up on the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Edmonton Oilers will look to keep it going against the Western Conference's worst team. Shawn Horcoff is hoping to lead the Oilers to their third consecutive victory when they visit the lowly Los Angeles Kings on Monday night.

Horcoff had a goal and four assists in Edmonton's back-to-back wins over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and Sunday. The 29-year-old center leads the team with 11 tallies and 26 points on the season. Oilers goaltender Dwayne Roloson has looked much better recently. After losing five straight starts, the 38-year-old has won three of his previous four outings.

The Kings defeated the Oilers, 4-1, on October 27 and have since beaten just two different teams. Since that win, which capped a four-game winning streak, Los Angeles has gone just 4-7-1. Throughout that stretch, the Kings defeated the San Jose Sharks three times and the Dallas Stars once. Anze Kopitar has 11 goals and a team-leading 22 points on the season for the Kings.
