UCSD Women Win

PHOENIX (UCSD) - The 10th-ranked UC San Diego women's basketball team won its second tournament of the 2007-08 season and improved to 5-0 for the first time in program history with its 76-64 victory over Fort Lewis College on Saturday at the Grand Canyon Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. The loss drops the Skyhawks to 3-1 on the year while all five of the Tritons' wins have come by double figures. Senior Alexis Gaskin had a career-night in the win, scoring 26 points and pulling down 13 boards while Michelle Osier added 12 points, five rebounds and five steals. Meaghan Noud chipped in with 19 points that included a 3-for-6 night from behind the arc.
