AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colorado (Ticker) -- Air Force scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally for a 20-12 victory over Wyoming. With the offense held in check for three quarters, the defense jumped to their aid, when safety Bobby Giannini picked up a fumble by Wyoming running back Wynel Seldon and ran 85 yards for a touchdown that turned the tide and gave Air Force a 14-9 lead one minute into the fourth quarter. Shaun Carney then threw a 25-yard TD pass to Mark Root to give the Falcons (6-2, 5-1 MWC) some breathing room with 6:56 to play. Chad Hall was most of the office for Air Force, rushing 28 times for 167 yards, and he scored on a five-yard pass from Carney with 3:19 left in the first half for a 7-6 lead. An ineffective Karsten Sween was 14-for-23 for 171 yards and one touchdown but was intercepted three times. Ian Hetrick replaced Sween in the fourth quarter and completed 6-of-8 passes for 89 yards. Devin Moore ran 25 times for 105 yards for the Cowboys (4-3, 1-2).
BRIGHAM YOUNG 42, EASTERN WASHINGTON 7 --------------------------------------
PROVO, Utah (Ticker) -- Harvey Unga accounted for 202 yards of total offense as Brigham Young routed Eastern Washington, 42-7, in a game played in a driving snowstorm. Unga rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught four passes for 57 yards and a score. Max Hall completed 15-of-30 passes for 156 yards for the Cougars (5-2), who posted their ninth straight home victory. Matt Nicholls connected on 20-of-32 passes for 216 yards with two interceptions for Eastern Washington, a member of the Football Championship Subdivision.
COLORADO STATE 48, UNLV 23 --------------------------
LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Gartrell Johnson ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns as Colorado State beat UNLV, 48-23. Johnson opened the scoring with a 45-yard run just three minutes into the contest and added a four-yard score with 25 seconds left in the first half to provide a 24-3 lead. Damon Morton caught three passes for 124 yards and a TD for the Rams (1-6, 1-3). Omar Clayton completed 23-of-36 passes for 304 yards with two TDs and three interceptions for UNLV (2-6, 1-3).
