NEW MEXICO 20, WYOMING 3 ------------------------ LARAMIE, Wyoming (Ticker) -- Donovan Porterie passed for 191 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown to Travis Brown, as New Mexico defeated Wyoming, 20-3, in a game delayed for nearly two hours in the second quarter due to lighting. After the delay, Porterie's TD pass to Brown gave New Mexico (4-2, 1-1) a 10-3 lead with 43 seconds remaining in the second period. Ian Clark returned a fumble by Wyoming (4-2, 1-1) quarterback Karsten Sweed two yards to make it 17-3 early in the third quarter. Rain mixed with snow during the 1-hour, 43-minute delay that occured with 2 1/2 minutes left in the first half.
TCU 38, STANFORD 36 -------------------
STANFORD, California (Ticker) -- Andy Dalton passed for 344 yards and two touchdowns, sparking TCU to a 38-36 victory over Stanford. One week after stunning Southern California in one of the biggest upsets in college football history, the Cardinal (2-4) could not hold on after building a 31-17 lead in the third quarter. Jerry Pritchard, who threw the winning touchdown in the final minute against USC, struggled against TCU (4-3), completing just 12-of-27 passes for 171 yards. Aaron Brown scored on a two-yard TD run with 4:13 remaining to give the Horned Frogs a 38-34 lead.
AIR FORCE 45, COLORADO STATE 21 -------------------------------
FORT COLLINS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Chad Hall ran for 256 yards and four touchdowns as the Air Force pounded Colorado State, 45-21. Hall carried trhe ball 31 times, scored three of his TDs in the first half on short runs before capping teh scoring in the fourth quarter with a 13-yard run. Shaun Carney threw just five passes for the Falcons (5-2). Gartrell Johnson III rushed 25 times for 143 yards and a TD for Colorado State (0-6). Caleb Hanie threw four interceptions for the losers.
BRIGHAM YOUNG 24, UNLV 14 -------------------------
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Ticker) -- Harvey Unga carried 25 times for 178 yards and a touchdown and Sergio Aguayo kicked two field goals in the first half as Brigham Young posted a 24-14 triumph over UNLV. Max Hall completed 21-of-33 passes for 213 yards and a TD, but he was picked off three times for the Cougars (4-2). Frank Summers carried 13 times for 52 yards for UNLV (2-5), which was outgained, 443-231.
