SAN DIEGO (Source: SDSU) - San Diego State concludes a string of three straight conference road matches when it visits Las Vegas this week to take on UNLV on Friday, Oct. 19, at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) in Cox Pavilion. The match will be televised live on The Mtn. Friday evening and will re-air on CSTV on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 2:00 p.m. (PDT). The match is the Aztecs' lone contest of the week as they begin the second half of the league season.

The Mountain West Conference announced its 2007-08 preseason women's basketball poll and all-conference team today at its Basketball Media Day held at The Mtn. Studios in Littleton, Colo. The voting panel consisted of the league's nine head coaches and select women's basketball media. Wyoming was tabbed as the preseason favorite for the first time in MWC history after winning the WNIT Championship and finishing tied for second place in last year's regular-season standings. Wyoming received 24-of-30 first-place votes and 203 total points. TCU had two first-place votes and finished second with 188 points, followed by BYU with one first-place vote and 182 points. New Mexico (174 points) placed fourth and earned three first-place votes, followed by Utah (158 points), UNLV (109 points), San Diego State (93 points), Colorado State (53 points) and Air Force (37 points).

With the 2007-08 San Diego State basketball season approaching, the SDSU Aztec Athletic Foundation will play host to the Aztec Basketball Tip-Off Exclusive on Thursday, Nov. 1. The event will be held at the W Hotel in San Diego beginning at 7 p.m. PT and will last approximately two hours. Tickets include an exclusive introduction to the 2007-08 men's and women's Aztec basketball teams and a cocktail reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased for $50 per person.
