SAN DIEGO - San Diego State needed overtime to top Utah 64-56 on Wednesday night at Cox Arena. Lorrenzo Wade scored 20 points and Kyle Spain added 19 to lead the Aztecs to the MWC victory. SDSU improved to 13-4 overall and 3-0 in the Mountain West.
Despite a career-high 25 points from Aztec sophomore Jené Morris (San Francisco, Calif.), the San Diego State women's basketball dropped a 74-62 decision at Utah Wednesday evening at the Huntsman Center. With the loss, SDSU fell to 9-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play, while the Utes, who shot over 64 percent from the field in the second half, improved to 13-3 and 2-0 in league action.
