Angels to Host 2010 MLB All-Star Game
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will host the 2010 All-Star Game, Major League Baseball announced Friday. It will mark the fourth time that baseball's "Midsummer Classic" will be played in the Los Angeles area. The Angels hosted the contest in 1989, drawing the fourth-largest crowd in All-Star Game history with 64,036 fans. Baseball commissioner Bud Selig is expected to formally announce the decision Wednesday during a news conference at Angel Stadium. The New York Yankees will host this year's All-Star Game, which will be played July 15. The St. Louis Cardinals will host the 2009 game.
