2-Minute Drill: NFL Playoffs

The interest in the NFL and the playoffs is at an all time high. That's what an undefeated regular season accomplished by the New England Patriots will get you.

The Patriots will be the favorites throughout the playoffs with home field advantage and January outdoor weather.

The defending Super Bowl champs, Indianapolis Colts, are ready and able to repeat as champions, but on the road in the northeast, with a typical cold and windy day will be a negative factor.

The flavor of the playoffs seems to be Jacksonville. They are very physical on defense, run the ball well on offense and can make big plays on special teams.

The San Diego Chargers riding a six-game winning streak are getting hot at just the right time and seem to have a strong resolve to go all the way.

Pittsburgh with a divisional championship in their back pocket can play without the pressure of expectations on the first year coach, Mike Tomlin.

The six teams in the NFC have all seemed to cool off late in the season. Dallas is still the #1 ranked team and has home field advantage, but they are not as healthy as they would like to be.

Green Bay has had an excellent regular season and will have a second round home game on the frozen tundra of northern Wisconsin.
