LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- After snapping a three-game losing streak, the Cleveland Indians are poised for consecutive wins on Saturday when staff ace C.C. Sabathia toes the rubber in the middle game of an interleague series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.Joe Borowski blew his third save of the season during Friday's series opener, but the Indians rallied behind Jhonny Peralta's two-run double in the 10th inning to claim a thrilling 6-4 victory over the Dodgers.
Sabathia (5-8, 4.26 ERA) hasn't needed much help from the bullpen over his last two starts, logging 17 innings while earning a pair of wins. The reigning American League Cy Young award winner, followed his second shutout of the season by allowing just three runs and six hits in eight innings while striking out 10 en route to a 7-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on Sunday.
Chan Ho Park (2-2, 2.95) returns to the Dodgers rotation on Saturday when he replaces Hiroki Kuroda, who was put on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with right shoulder tendinitis. Park surrendered two runs - one earned - and three hits in four innings but did not factor in the decision during his only start this season - a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on May 17. The 34-year-old righthander was pounded for five runs and eight hits in just 1 1/3 innings during his last appearance, suffering the loss in Sunday's 5-4 setback to the Cleveland Indians.
