Padres On Deck @ Indians, Game 2 of 3
San Diego (30-39) at Cleveland (32-36), 4:05 p.m., 4SD/1090/105.7
CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Grady Sizemore and the Cleveland Indians go for their third straight win on Saturday when they continue a three-game interleague series against the San Diego Padres.
Sizemore homered for the third straight game on Friday, stroking a pair of blasts for the third time this season during the Indians' 9-5 victory. The game lasted more than six hours after rain delayed play for nearly three hours. The 25-year-old center fielder, who is batting .271 with 16 home runs and 39 RBI this campaign, has never homered in four consecutive games.
Sizemore is homerless in 10 career at-bats against righthander Cha Seung Baek (1-1, 3.97 ERA), who makes his third start for the Padres on Saturday. Baek, who was acquired from the Seattle Mariners on May 29 in exchange for pitcher Jared Wells, allowed just one run and seven hits in six innings, but did not factor in the decision during last Saturday's 2-1 victory over the New York Mets.
Cliff Lee (10-1, 2.52) tries to tie Brandon Webb of the Arizona Diamondbacks for the major-league lead in wins when he takes the mound for the Indians.
