Hairston & Greene Power Padres

SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Scott Hairston hit a solo home run and Khalil Greene added a two-run blast to lead the San Diego Padres to a 6-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Chris Young (3-3) went six-plus strong innings to help San Diego take the rubber game and win a series for the first time since April 11-13. Cla Meredith bailed Young out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the seventh, limiting the Rockies to one run on a double-play groundout. Greg Reynolds (0-1) pitched well in his major league debut for Colorado, allowing four runs and six hits, including the two homers.
