SAN DIEGO (SDSU) - San Diego State, behind the pitching of Shane Kaufman and the hitting of Troy Hanzawa and Pat Colwell, completed a three-game sweep of Utah with a 6-2 victory over the Utes Sunday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The win enabled the Aztecs to maintain their grip on first place in the Mountain West Conference as they improved to 21-15 overall and 9-3 in league play. Utah saw its record drop to 13-17 (3-5 MWC).


PORTLAND (USD) - A hit parade helped propel the 13th-ranked University of San Diego baseball team to a 13-8 win over the University of Portland Sunday afternoon at Joe Etzel Field.
