Chargers Announce Preseason Slate

SAN DIEGO - The two-time defending AFC West Champion San Diego Chargers will open the 2008 preseason at home on Saturday, August 9 against the defending NFC East Champion Dallas Cowboys. Coached by former Chargers defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, the Cowboys are led by wide receiver Terrell Owens and quarterback Tony Romo. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date. This will be the Chargers’ first preseason game against the Cowboys since 1989.

The Chargers will face St. Louis in week 2 of the preseason. Followed by a Monday Night Football date with the Seattler Seahawks at Qualcomm Stadium on August 25. The final tuneup for the regular season is scheduled for Friday, August 29 in San Francisco when the Chargers take on the 49ers.

The NFL regular season schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
