SAN DIEGO (USD) - The 14th-ranked University of San Diego baseball team (19-9, 1-1 WCC) lost a wild 12-10 four hour and five minute West Coast Conference game to Santa Clara University (13-9, 1-1 WCC) Saturday afternoon at Cunningham Stadium.

Tennis Wins
The USD women's tennis team traveled to Los Angeles Saturday and the trip was worthwhile as USD came away with a hard fought 4-3 victory. The Toreros earned the all important doubles point by winning doubles points at No. 2 and No. 3. USD then competed extremely well in singles play, earning three three-set victories at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to take home the victory. Earning singles victories were Helene Lindstrand at No. 2 with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win over Tamara Tanner; Alexandra Demidova at No. 4 with a 6-7, 6-0, 6-4 win over Audrey Bulkley; and Tammy Kevey at No. 5 with a 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over Shauna Morgan.
