Padres, Dodgers Tie in China

BEIJING (Ticker) -- Andruw Jones went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored as the Los Angeles Dodgers tied the San Diego Padres, 3-3, in the first ever major league baseball game played in China. Jones, who signed a two-year contract worth a reported $36 million in December to join the Dodgers from the Atlanta Braves, is looking to bounce back from the worst season of his career after posting a dismal .222 batting average in 2007. George Lombard hit his first home run this spring in the third inning off Padres starter Justin Germano, who allowed five hits and just one run while striking out five over five innings. Catcher Lucas May drove in the other Los Angeles run with a double in the sixth inning, finishing the game with two hits. Starter Chan Ho Park surrendered an unearned run and one hit in five innings of work for the Dodgers.
