Padres Acquire First Baseman

SURPRISE, Arizona (Ticker) -- The Kansas City Royals on Wednesday traded first baseman-outfielder Justin Huber to the San Diego Padres for a player to be named later. Huber, 25, batted .271 with six RBI in 25 games for Kansas City in 2007. He hit .255 with seven RBI in 38 games for the Royals over the past three seasons. A native of Melbourne, Australia, Huber was acquired by Kansas city from the New York Mets on July 30, 2004.
