USD Women to Host St. Mary's Saturday

The University of San Diego women's basketball team (14-11, 5-6 WCC) will return to the friendly confines of the Jenny Craig Pavilion on Saturday to conclude their regular-season home schedule against Saint Mary's College. Game time is set for 2 p.m.

Prior to the game, the Toreros will be honoring their two seniors, Alcha Strane and Amanda Rego, as this will be their final regular-season game at the JCP.

Saint Mary's enters the game with an overall record of 13-14 and a 5-6 mark in the WCC after defeating San Francisco 86-73 this past Thursday. SMC and USD have met on 50 prior occasions with the Gaels holding a 30-20 edge in those games, including capturing the first match-up this season in Moraga, 71-63.

Saint Mary's is led by Jontelle Smith, who has a team-leading 16.8 points per game average.
