Toreros Lose to Gonzaga

SAN DIEGO (USD) - Matt Bouldin scored 13 points, including a key late basket, to lead Gonzaga to a 59-55 win over San Diego on Monday night. The win kept Gonzaga in a first-place tie with No. 23 Saint Mary's. The Bulldogs won for the 13th straight time against the Toreros since losing in 2003 WCC Tournament finals at San Diego. San Diego had its seven-game win streak snapped as its top two scorers struggled. Brandon Johnson was 2-for-15 from the field and finished with eight points and Gyno Pomare scored four points. Trumaine Johnson led the Toreros with 17 points, all in the second half, including 5-for-7 from 3-point range in the second half.
