SDSU-Notre Dame Ticket Information

SAN DIEGO (SDSU) - The San Diego State athletic department announced details today concerning the opportunity to purchase tickets from its allotment for the Sept. 6, 2008, football game against Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium. The Aztecs will face the Irish next fall for the first time in school history, and become the first team that is not currently affiliated with an automatic qualifying BCS conference, service academy or religious-based academic institution to play at the historic venue since Nov. 5, 1988.

"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Aztecs play the most storied program in college football," SDSU Senior Associate Athletic Director Don Oberhelman said. "We want to make sure that our limited number of tickets wind up in the hands of loyal Aztec fans, which is why the opportunity is being afforded to our Aztec Athletic Foundation (AAF) members."

San Diego State fans who are or become members of the AAF for the 2008-09 season and who also purchase season football tickets for the 2008 home football campaign are eligible for the opportunity to purchase tickets for the game at Notre Dame. Members of the Champion Aztec donation level ($1,200 and above) do not need to meet the season ticket requirement to be eligible. The number of tickets that members can purchase is based on their 2008-09 level of giving to the AAF.

Below are the AAF levels of donation:
Proud Aztec ($125)* maximum 2 tickets
Defending Aztec ($300)* maximum 4 tickets
Fighting Aztec ($800)* maximum 6 tickets
Champion Aztec ($1,200) maximum 8 tickets
* - must also have 2008 SDSU football season tickets to be eligible

At this time, the number of tickets in SDSU's allotment has not been determined nor has the ticket price for the game next season.

Current AAF members and 2007 season ticket holders have already received details on purchasing San Diego State-Notre Dame tickets. Individuals interested in joining either the AAF or purchasing 2008 season tickets to be eligible to purchase Notre Dame tickets should contact the SDSU Ticket Office at (619) 283-SDSU. A priority list for new members is currently being established with an opportunity to purchase tickets after all existing AAF and season ticket members' orders have been filled.

Although there is no guarantee, the athletic department anticipates being able to fulfill all ticket requests for both current and new members of the AAF.

There are several important deadlines for current AAF and football season ticket holders wishing to purchase Notre Dame tickets (these deadlines apply only if you wish to purchase tickets to the Notre Dame game). Please note that a separate Notre Dame ticket order form will be mailed to eligible Aztec football season ticket holders and AAF members in early March.

Feb. 15, 2008 - 2008 SDSU football season ticket renewal deadline (100 percent payment due) and 2008 AAF donation due (25 percent of pledge payment due)
Mar. 28, 2008 - Deadline to return Notre Dame ticket application
June 1, 2008 - Full payment of 2008 AAF pledge is due

Additionally, the San Diego State athletic department has partnered with Dodds Athletic Tour for the official travel package for the Aztec-Irish football game.
