ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - Ryan Getzlaf is providing the offensive spark the Anaheim Ducks have needed this season. The 22-year-old center will hope to extend his eight-game point streak when the Ducks host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday - their first meeting in more than four years.

Getzlaf, who leads the club with 29 assists and 46 points, has four goals and six assists over his last eight games. Since the return of superstar defenseman Scott Niedermayer, Anaheim has posted a 7-2-1 record and moved to within two points of the top spot in the Pacific Division standings.

The Maple Leafs have gone in the opposite direction. With Vesa Toskala sidelined with an injured groin, Toronto has lost five of its previous six contests. The Maple Leafs have failed to win a game in regulation since Toskala made 24 saves in a 4-0 shutout over the Atlanta Thrashers on December 14, 2007. The club has gone just 2-6-2 over that stretch. Toronto, however, has won four of their last five overall meetings with Anaheim, but lost in its last visit to "The Pond" on November 11, 2003. It's been nearly a decade since the Maple Leafs won in Anaheim, dating back to March 11, 1998.
