Nashville (20-19-2) at Los Angeles (15-26-2), 7:30 pm, FSN
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Los Angeles Kings have suffered through plenty of losing streaks already this season. If they are not careful, they will face another. Alexander Frolov will try to help the Kings avoid a third consecutive defeat when they host the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles' six-game homestand got off to a nice start when Frolov tallied a pair of goals and three assists in a 9-2 triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks but then the defense let the club down, giving up 10 goals over the previous two games - both losses. The Kings have already endured two five-game skids and an eight-game losing slide this season. Frolov scored a goal and set up two others Saturday, but the Kings still suffered a 6-4 setback to the Calgary Flames. The 25-year-old Russian has seven goals and a team-leading 24 assists on the campaign.
The Predators were looking for their season-high fourth straight win Monday but fell, 5-2, to the Anaheim Ducks. Goaltender Dan Ellis also had his personal four-game winning streak snapped. After surrendering just three goals over the previous three games, Ellis gave up four tallies in just over an eight-minute span Monday. Ellis is 10-5-0 with three shutouts in limited action this season. J.P. Dumont, who has 15 tallies and 30 points on the campaign, has a goal in each of his previous five games.
