SoCal NHL Preview

Columbus (18-16-6) at Los Angeles (15-24-2), 7:30 pm, FSN
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Winning streaks have been rare for the Los Angeles Kings this season, but they will have a chance to extend one Thursday. Ladislav Nagy will try to lead the Kings to a season-long fourth consecutive victory when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Los Angeles is also coming off its most impressive win of the season. Nagy had a hat trick and assisted on two others and Alexander Frolov scored two goals, including the 100th of his career, en route to Tuesday's 9-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. Nagy is currently on a five-game point streak, notching three goals and seven assists over that stretch. The Czech left wing has eight tallies and 16 assists on the season. The Blue Jackets are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 setback to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.

For Columbus to make a serious playoff push, they will need more consistent production from Rick Nash. The 23-year-old superstar registered a hat trick Sunday, but that has been his only three goals over the last 10 games. Nash leads the club with 21 goals and 35 points this season.
