USD Takes Care of Business

SAN DIEGO - The University of San Diego Toreros snapped their three-game losing streak with a 69-54 victory over Texas San Antonio at the Jenny Craig Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard Brandon Johnson scored a game-high 18 points, and Gyno Pomare added 15 points to lead USD. The Toreros, who improved to 6-8 on the season, converted 57.1% of their shots (28-49) and outrebounded UTSA, 28-24. USD will finish the year road games at Kentucky (Dec. 29) and Marshall (Dec. 31).
