Women's Basketball Visits Arizona and New Mexico
(UCSD) - The 10th-ranked UC San Diego women's basketball team will travel to Phoenix, Ariz., for the Grand Canyon Women's Basketball Classic this weekend. The Tritons will play Western New Mexico on Friday, November 23rd before facing off with Fort Lewis on Saturday, November 24th. Both games are slated for 2 p.m. starts inside Antelope Gymnasium on the Grand Canyon University campus. The Tritons enter the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record on the season after defeating Colorado Christian, No. 22 Augustana and Western Washington to claim the title at the Inaugural Disney West Coast Tip-Off Classic on November 2-4.

Men's Hoops Stays on the Road
The men's basketball team will continue its 2007-08 road season this weekend with a 7 p.m. game on Saturday night at former California Collegiate Athletic Association member and current West Region rival Grand Canyon University. The Antelopes were one of eight teams to qualify for last year's D-II West Regional, winning their first game before being bounced by top-seeded Humboldt State in the regional semifinals. The Tritons and Antelopes have met 15 previous times on the hardwood with GCU holding a 10-5 advantage in the all-time series. Last year's meeting was a classic that ended with the Antelopes claiming a 64-62 victory in double overtime at home on November 20, 2006.
