(Last week's rankings in parentheses)
(Thanksgiving games not included)

1. (1) New England Patriots - Even the BCS computers can't get this wrong.
2. (2) Dallas Cowboys - Renewed chants of "America's Team" shows why recycling should be done in moderation.
3. (4) Indianapolis Colts - Soft non-conference schedule again.
4. (5) Green Bay Packers - I (almost) believe, I (almost) believe.
5. (6) Jacksonville Jaguars - Can Maurice Jones-Drew take "Lights Out" nickname after laying out Shawne Merriman?
6. (7) New York Giants - Taking preseason off working wonders for Michael Strahan.
7. (3) Pittsburgh Steelers - Who says Jet-lag is a state of mind?
8. (10) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - After watching Jeff Garcia, might be time to bring a few more CFL QBs south.
9. (11) Seattle Seahawks - Not a lot of good things happen when they head east.
10. (14) Cleveland Browns - Might at well tear down the goalposts, because they never will work better.
11. (8) San Diego Chargers - Wonder if Norv Turner carved the turkey as deftly as he carves up his own offense?
12. (16) Denver Broncos - Does it matter who's at running back? Just plug them in and let them loose.
13. (9) Tennessee Titans - Pacman's not kidding about putting up a fight to return to the league.
14. (13) Philadelphia Eagles - The talk is all about their line, and it's not along the line of scrimmage.
15. (12) Detroit Lions - Perhaps Jon Kitna is confusing his faith with his fate?
16. (20) Arizona Cardinals - Rolle with it, baby.
17. (15) New Orleans Saints - Haven't heard those Reggie Bush/Gale Sayers comparisons lately.
18. (17) Buffalo Bills - Driver of the blimp for last Sunday night's game is still asleep at the wheel.
19. (18) Chicago Bears - On a day when Cedric Benson never looked better, "Da Bears" stopped feeding him the ball.
20. (19) Baltimore Ravens - Nice move by league's self-proclaimed smartest coach to not kick away from league's best returner ... twice!
