Men's Hoops Team To Play Arizona
The San Diego State men's basketball program and Arizona have signed a home-and-home contract that will guarantee the two schools will meet in 2008-09 and 2009-10. The agreement ensures both teams will face each other for a fourth consecutive season after its game in `09-10.


Allen Wins MWC Defensive Honors

San Diego State junior linebacker Russell Allen (Oceanside, Calif../Vista HS) has been named a Co-Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Week the league announced Monday. It is Allen's second career weekly award.

SDSU Upsets Stanford in Soccer
The 24th-ranked San Diego State men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to eight games on goals by senior Kraig Chiles (San Diego/Poway HS) and freshman Khadim Diouf in a 2-0 victory over No. 21 Stanford Sunday afternoon at SDSU Sports Deck. The win moved the Aztecs (7-2-2) into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10 with a 3-0-0 conference record and ended a six-match unbeaten streak for the Cardinal (4-3-5, 1-1-2 Pac-10).

Volleyball Loses Heartbreaker at TCU
After finding itself down two games to none, the San Diego State volleyball team mounted a spirited comeback only to see their effort come up just shy as it dropped a five-game heartbreaker at TCU Saturday evening. The Horned Frogs prevailed by scores of 30-28, 30-18, 26-30, 26-30, 15-12 in a contest between the teams that went the distance. The loss was the third straight for the Aztecs, their longest losing streak of the season, as they dropped to 11-8 overall and 3-5 in the Mountain West Conference.
