SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Kevin O'Connell passed for career highs of 443 yards and five touchdowns as San Diego State pasted Portland State, 52-17. O'Connell completed 19-of-31 passes, and four of his TD passes came in the first half as the Aztecs (1-2) opened a 35-14 lead. Brian White completed 36-of-53 passes for 408 yards for Portland State (1-3).
WYOMING 34, OHIO 33 -------------------
ATHENS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Karsten Sween threw a five-yard touchdown pass with just over two minutes left as Wyoming overcame a 17-point third-quarter deficit to beat Ohio, 34-33. Sween, who threw four interceptions, completed 26-of-36 passes for two touchdowns. Devin Moore ran for 198 yards and two scores for Wyoming (3-1). Brad Bower completed 14-of-28 passes for 227 yards for Ohio (2-2), which took a 23-6 edge just 2 1/2 minutes into the second half.
BRIGHAM YOUNG 31, AIR FORCE 6 -----------------------------
PROVO, Utah (Ticker) -- Max Hall passed for 293 yards and two touchdowns to lead Brigham Young to a 31-6 rout over Air Force. Harvey Unga ran for 111 yards on 22 carries and caught a 29-yard TD pass for BYU (2-2), which has won four straight against Air Force (3-1). Shaun Carney completed 10-of-21 passes for 98 yards for the Falcons.
HOUSTON 38, COLORADO STATE 27 -----------------------------
HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Houston overcame a 14-point halftime deficit by scoring five touchdowns after intermission and posting a 38-27 triumph over Colorado State. Reserve quarterback Case Keenum completed 18-of-22 passes for 197 yards and two TDs, and his eight-yard scamper in the fourth quarter gave the Cougars (2-1) the lead for good. Caleb Hanie completed 16-of-26 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns for Colorado State (0-3), which led 17-3 at the half and 27-24 entering the final quarter.
TCU 21, SMU 7 -------------
FORT WORTH, Texas (Ticker) -- Bart Johnson blocked a punt for a touchdown and Robert Henson returned an interception for a score as TCU posted a 21-7 victory over SMU. Backup quarterback Marcus Jackson hooked up with Derek Moore for a 15-yard touchdown in the second quarter, giving the Horned Frogs (2-2) their lone offensive score. Henson's 43-yard interception return gave TCU the lead for good with 11:47 remaining in the second quarter.
UNLV 27, UTAH 0 ---------------
LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Frank Summers ran for 190 yards and scored three touchdowns to help UNLV blank Utah, 27-0. Summers had 29 carries for 108 yards before halftime as the Runnin' Rebels (2-2, 1-0 Mountain West) jumped out to a 13-0 advantage at the break. The triumph also snapped UNLV's 11-game losing streak against Utah (1-3, 0-2), which was shutout for the first time since 1993.
NEW MEXICO 58, SACRAMENTO STATE 0 -------------------------
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Rodney Ferguson rushed for 129 yards and scored a career-high four touchdowns as New Mexico crushed Sacramento State, 58-0. Donovan Porterie threw for 229 yards and Travis Brown went of the century mark for the third on receiving yards for the Lobos, who are 3-1 for just the second time under coach Rocky Long.
