USD Claims WCC Regular Season Championship

Toreros record first 40-win season in program history

SANTA CLARA - The #6-ranked University of San Diego Toreros claimed the regular-season West Coast Conference baseball championship outright and the right to host the WCC Championship series on Memorial Day Weekend with a 3-1 win over Santa Clara University Friday evening at Stephen Schott Stadium. With the win, the Toreros have set a new program record for single-season victories with 40 as they move to 40-14 overall. USD has now run their overall winning streak to 11 and their WCC winning streak to 17.
