Street Sense Selected As Preakness Favorite

BALTIMORE (Ticker) - Street Sense will continue his trek toward becoming the first Triple Crown winner in 29 years as the morning-line favorite for Saturday's 132nd Preakness Stakes. At Wednesday's draw for the second leg of the Triple Crown, Street Sense received the eighth post in a field of nine 3-year-olds who will go 1 3/16 miles at Pimlico Race Course. Street Sense will have a lot more running room than he had when he came from far back to win the Kentucky Derby on May 5, a race that drew a full field of 20 horses. Trained by Carl Nafzger and ridden by Calvin Borel, Street Sense was tabbed an overwhelming 7-5 morning-line favorite to capture the Preakness.
