AIR FORCE 55, SAN DIEGO ST 23 -----------------------------
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colorado (Ticker) -- Jim Ollis, Chad Hall and Ty Paffett each rushed for over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns as Air Force rolled over San Diego State, 55-23, on Saturday in a matchup of Mountain West Conference foes. Ollis led the way for the Falcons (9-3, 6-2 MWC) with 163 yards and two scores on 15 carries. Hall carried the ball 19 times for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Paffett ran for 105 yards and found the end zone three times on just seven attempts. The Aztecs (4-6, 3-3) jumped out to an early 7-0 lead on Kevin O'Connell's one-yard rushing touchdown, but the Falcons responded with 21 unanswered points en route to a 28-17 edge at the break.
COLORADO ST 42, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 34 -----------------------------------
FORT COLLINS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Gartell Johnson had three total touchdowns as Colorado State defeated Georgia Southern, 42-34. Johnson rushed for 136 yards and two scores on 19 carries and hauled in an eight-yard touchdown reception for the Rams (2-9, 1-6 MWC), who snapped a three-game skid and won their first home game of the season. Kyle Bell's three-yard rushing score with 13:20 left in the contest gave Colorado State a 42-17 advantage, but Georgia Southern finished the game with 17 unanswered points.
BRIGHAM YOUNG 35, WYOMING 10 ----------------------------
LARAMIE, Wyoming (Ticker) -- Max Hall passed for 311 yards and three touchdowns to lead Brigham Young to its seven consecutive win and at least a share of the Mountain West Conference title with a 35-10 triumph over Wyoming. Harvey Unga rushed for 110 yards and a pair of scores for BYU (8-2, 6-0 MWC), which has not lost a conference game since November 19, 2005, a 41-34 loss to Utah. Karsten Sween finished with 217 yards passing but was intercepted once for the Cowboys (5-6, 2-5), who have lost five of their last six games.
